On October 21, local time, the Thai opposition party announced that during an important meeting on October 22, the former prime minister of Thailand, the party leader Petun Tan, will have an important change in positions.

According to the People's Network report, Peetong Tan will convene an internal parliamentary meeting at 8:30 p.m. on the 22nd, and formally notify him of resigning from the position of party chairman; then at 9:30 p.m. a meeting of the executive committee will be convened to start the procedure for the election of a new party chairman and a new executive committee.

The report pointed out that Petontan's decision to resign stems from the Constitutional Court's ruling on August 29, which found that he was dismissed from his post due to "serious violations of moral standards" and "lack of qualifications" during his tenure as prime minister. The incident originated from a recorded call between Petontan and Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of Cambodia and current Senate Chairman. During the phone call, Peitontan asked Hun Sen to help ease tensions on the border between the two countries, but called him "uncle", a move that sparked controversy in Thailand.

She is the second female prime minister in Thailand's history and the youngest prime minister in Thailand.

In the sub-parliamentary elections held on September 5, the proud leader of the Thai party, Anutin, won the prime minister's election with a majority of parliamentary votes.

Shortly after the election of the Prime Minister, the Thai Party confirmed that it would not join the opposition camp led by the largest opposition party, the People's Party, and chose to perform its supervisory duties as an independent opposition party.
