White House officials revealed that Trump regarded this as the "progress" of the dialogue and also put forward this condition in his meeting with Zelensky, but it was strongly rejected by Zelensky.

But it is against this background that Zelensky wants to join the "Trump meeting" held in Hungary, which currently seems almost impossible.
Because Zelensky and Putin's ceasefire conditions are far from each other, his dialogue with Trump is still going to have a "fierce confrontation". If he meets with Putin offline, he still doesn't know how sparks will fly.
Moreover, what Trump has always wanted is to win over Russia and "join Russia and resist China." Therefore, another plan he is promoting a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is to restore relations and trade between the United States and Russia.
