On the morning of 21 local time, a riot in a prison in the capital of Uila province in southern Colombia during the transfer of a prisoner injured five police officers and five prisoners.

Upon receipt of the notification, the Colombian National Police immediately provided support to the prison and eventually took control of the situation.
