The Hungarian Parliament passed a resolution on the 21st local time to extend the state of emergency that has been implemented for many years for another 180 days to May 13, 2026.

The country initially declared a state of emergency in March 2020 and has been extended several times due to epidemics and the conflict in Russia and Ukraine.
