Slovakia court sentences Prime Minister Fizo to 21 years in prison

On October 21st, local time, a Slovak court ruled that Juraj Chintula, the man who shot Prime Minister Fizo last year, committed a terrorist attack.Sentenced to 21 years in prison

Qintura argued during the trial that the reason for his shooting Fizo was to prevent him from performing the prime minister's duties, with no intention of killing the other. When he left the court he said the verdict was "unfair" and he "certainly" would appeal.

Last May, Fizo was shot in Trencin, Slovakia, and the gunman Chintula fired four shots at Fizo at close range. Fizo was then taken to the hospital, underwent two operations, and returned to work after several months of hospital treatment. (Headquarters reporter Xu Ming)
