A new round of talks between China and the United States is that the United States has put forward several demands, and the U.S. military aircraft carrier has also come around China and engaged in military coercion.

The three things we saw today are all related to Sino-US negotiations, and these three things may bring unexpected impacts to Sino-US relations.

The first was a high-level video call with China and the United States, discussed economic and trade issues, and a new round of consultation was set, and senior U.S. officials also announced the fifth round of talks in Malaysia this week.

The second thing is that Trump said the U.S. would put rare earth, phentanyl and soybeans as three key topics to China.

The third thing is that the Pentagon dispatched two nuclear-powered aircraft carrier strike formations to the waters around China.

At first glance, China and the United States are indeed going to hold a new round of trade negotiations, and Trump also said that a Sino-US summit might be held. At this time, the Pentagon used the most powerful naval force in the United States. What did it want to do? The answer is very simple, that is, a new round of "talking while fighting".

Trump said that the United States will focus on three things: rare earths are controlled by China, the U.S. high-tech industry is inseparable, and fentanyl is a super-strong painkiller, but addiction is rampant in the United States. The United States has always accused China of being the main source, but in fact China has long banned it. In addition, the soybeans grown by American farmers are mainly exported to China. During the trade war, China went to other countries to buy them, and American farmers cried.

What Trump means is that these are the "pain points" of the United States, and China must make concessions, otherwise tariffs will continue to increase. Why these issues?

Rare earth is a strategic resource, the United States is afraid to be cut in the neck, Trump asks for China to release supply; Fentanyl is a domestic social issue, Trump wants to throw the pot; soybeans are agricultural interests, concerning votes, Trump asks China to double imports.

This is not tourism, it is a clear military show muscle. U.S. officials say it is ¡°routine deployment¡± or ¡°preservation of free navigation¡±, but the time is too coincidental, just before trade talks.

China and the United States have always had friction in the South China Sea and Taiwan issue, and the United States has long loved to send military ships to "cruise", which is naked provocation.

From a Chinese standpoint, why the United States wants to negotiate with China but still engages in military coercion, this will only be the opposite.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded that tariff wars and trade wars are not in the interests of either party. Both parties shall negotiate and resolve any issues on the basis of equality, respect and mutual benefit.

This is tantamount to "rejecting" the United States 'request for unconditional concessions from China. As both parties to the negotiations, China is willing to pay sincerity and price, but the premise is that the United States also responds to China's needs. If one party wins a big victory and the other party loses a big defeat, then this negotiation will be impossible to achieve.

This trick of "carrot and stick" in the United States is too cliché. While saying that it wants to talk about economic and trade solving problems, it sends aircraft carriers to scare people. This is not a sincere wish to cooperate, but a force to force China to bow down and give in.

In history, I have been bullied enough by foreign powers, but now that my national strength is strong, I will not fall for this. This kind of coercion by the United States will only make the China more united, accelerate scientific and technological self-reliance, and make the negotiation atmosphere worse.
