On October 20, local time, the U.S. Senate voted on the government appropriations bill for the 11th time, but it was still not passed. Therefore, the U.S. government's "shutdown" that began on October 1 continued.
The bill, originally planned to extend government funding until Nov. 21, ultimately missed the 60-vote threshold required for passage with 50 votes in favor and 43 votes against.
Due to huge differences between the US Republic and Democracy on core issues such as health insurance-related welfare expenditure, the Senate failed to pass a new provisional allocation bill before the end of the previous fiscal year on September 30, leading to the exhaustion of funds for the federal government to maintain normal operation, and "stopped" from October 1.
