Sudan's capital Khartoum International Airport will resume some operations from the 22nd

On October 20, local time, Khartoum International Airport, the capital of Sudan, issued a statement announcing that domestic flights would resume operations from October 22. The statement did not mention when international flights would resume operations.

On April 15, 2023, the Armed Forces of Sudan and the Rapid Support Forces erupted an armed conflict in the capital of Khartoum, after which the war spread to other regions. The armed conflict that lasted for more than two years has killed 30,000 people and displaced more than 12 million people. After the conflict erupted, Khartoum International Airport was severely damaged, long controlled by the Rapid Support Forces of Sudan and closed. On March 26, this year, the Armed Forces of Sudan said that they had taken control of Khartoum International Airport on the same day.
