The Russian Investigative Commission said on Thursday it had filed an investigation into the fact that 500 million rubles of the project of the Russian Defense Ministry had been confiscated during the execution of the contract.

According to the announcement, the investigation confirmed that in 2022, the Ministry of Defense of Russia signed contracts with several commercial institutions for the supply of pipeline system equipment worth several million rubles. In 2023, former general engineer of the Southern Military District Engineering Construction Bureau, Raphev, general manager of the limited liability company Interram Industry, Kuranov and deputy managers of the limited liability company Dalary and Nest organized equipment that did not meet the terms of the contract and seized funds of more than 500 million rubles.

The crimes resulted in the failure to comply with the terms of the state contract, causing significant losses to the Russian Ministry of Defence.The evidence collection work of the Russian Investigative Commission continues.
