October 20 Russia Latest: Putin's Conditions

On October 20, 2025, the Russia-Ukraine war entered its 1334th day.

Last night, in Dnipro, Russian troops attacked a mine owned by DTEK.

There were 192 employees inside the mine at the time of the attack. Preliminary assessment showed no injuries.

On the other side, Ukrainian drones destroyed a 91N6A radar (used in the S-400) in Kursk Oblast approximately 140 kilometers from the line of contact.

In the direction of Kupiyansk, soldiers of the Ukrainian 92nd Brigade used the heavy bombing drone "Barbara-Jakarta", destroyed the buildings of the Russian military as a base, and subsequently used the BTR-4E armored vehicles to complete the clearance mission.

In the urban area of Kupyansk, the Ukrainian army continues to clean up the infiltration team of the Russian army. The statement that 90% of the urban area has fallen is pure nonsense.

In the direction of Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian army used Haimas and aviation to carry out joint strikes on Russian positions. The latter suffered heavy losses, with more than 30 casualties.

In the direction of Pokrovsk, Russian troops were photographed shooting three civilians near the train station (north of the railway line).

A drone captured the bodies of three civilians and a wounded woman who was shot in the leg-later, a man left with her in his arms.

At present, large parts of the southern part of Pokrovsk have become grey areas, but the supply of Poland is not as difficult as the Russian proverb says, and there are many small roads that lead to the back, and there will not be a situation where the supply cannot be transported.

In the Dubrovnik outpost, the Russian troops were still able to deliver supplies and relief to the siege because of the two-kilometre unreserved fields between Nykanorivka and Maiak.

According to reports from the 1st Commando Regiment of Ukraine, the Russian army reinforced about 100 people every day, but this only made up for the losses of the previous day. Especially in the direction of Novotoreske, the latest drone footage shows that the entrance to the settlement is littered with Russian corpses.

Let's take a look at other news.

Swedish Defense Minister Bol Jonson said, "If we want to maintain peace, we must prepare for war morally and militarily at the same time, and we must make a change in our mentality. There is no comfortable time, and we must switch to war mode to resolutely defend and maintain peace."

According to South Korea's Defense Minister, Anguay Bo revealed that South Korea has put into mass production of the world's strongest non-nuclear ballistic missile "Vu-5".

South Korea has committed itself not to possess nuclear weapons under international agreements and is currently working to develop the power of non-nuclear warheads for ballistic missiles and mass produce such missiles to deter North Korea.

According to the South Korean Defense Minister, these missiles will be put into combat duty by the end of this year.

The Qingdao-5 missile system was first publicly demonstrated last year at a parade to commemorate the founding of the army. According to limited available information, the ballistic missile weighs 36 tons, of which the ballistic head weighs 8 tons. The range can reach up to 3,000 kilometers (otherwise said to be 3,500 kilometers).

Since August, partners have funded several U.S. weapons procurement packages for Ukraine through the PURL Initiative, a mechanism for purchasing U.S. weapons through allied funding:

:: Netherlands-first tranche, $578 million;

Denmark, Norway and Sweden jointly – second batch, $4.95 billion;

Germany has announced that it will fund a third batch of $500 million.

Canada – the fourth batch of $500 million.

The fifth and sixth batches are being coordinated with the US. So far, Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Iceland and Luxembourg have expressed their willingness to provide financial support for the future fifth batches.

These countries not only purchase weapons from the United States, but also transfer large amounts of equipment from their own inventories to Ukraine. For example, Denmark donated all its artillery to Ukraine and took the lead in establishing in-depth military-industrial cooperation with Kiev.

Even so, the potential for European aid to Ukraine is far from exhausted. Their past commitment to the crisis has shown this-the EU allocates far more money for COVID-19 pandemic and the euro crisis than for Ukrainian aid. The recovery fund during the epidemic was as high as 810 billion euros, and during the euro crisis it was 400 billion euros, while the total aid to Ukraine is only 215 billion euros so far.

According to the Washington Post, during a phone call last week, Putin hinted to Trump that he was prepared to return occupied parts of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Ukraine (but not all of them) in exchange for Ukraine's complete abandonment of the Donetsk region.

He told Trump that full Russian control of the Donetsk region was a prerequisite for ending the war.

According to the Financial Times, at a White House meeting on Friday, Trump urged Zelensky to accept the conditions of Russia’s end of the war, and warned that if Ukraine did not agree, Putin says he will destroy Ukraine

It seems that Trump was influenced by Putin's advocacy of Russian victory on the battlefield, and was ready to back down-although after the meeting he said he supported a ceasefire in situ.

A reporter asked Zelensky if Trump had changed his opinion about the warhead missiles because of Putin’s phone calls.

“I don’t really know, Zelensky, we didn’t have a meeting with Trump before this phone call, but for today, it’s good he didn’t say no, but I think, maybe after the call, Trump realized ... the Russians are afraid of this.”

The conditions laid out by the Kremlin ruled out the possibility of ending the war from the outset, as Zelensky and other senior Ukrainian officials repeatedly pointed out that the withdrawal of troops from the Donetsk region was impossible. The reason we have also said earlier is that if Ukraine abandoned its current defensive positions, the next Russian invasion (which is almost certain) would be easier to advance to the Kharkov and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where there is no defensive zone system like Donetsk.

Trump said nothing about it.

Yesterday's results announced by the Ukrainian General Staff Headquarters wiped out 890 enemy troops (killed and injured), and the number of Russian troops has exceeded 1.13 million.

The casualties on the Ukrainian side are of course not small.

From the modern point of view, this is an extremely cruel and tragic war, and it is the great misfortune of mankind. But as Zelensky said in his speech to the U.S. Congress, This war will determine what kind of world our children will live in and what kind of world our children will live in.

So even at a higher price, the Ukrainians won’t let the invaders get what they want.

The last picture: A small Ukrainian girl stands quietly at the door of a house that has become a ruin.

The clouds are always brief, and the sun eventually appears.

Truth and lie, barbarism and civilization, justice and sin will all be illuminated in that light.
