The Republican Party believes that preventing Chinese students from entering the strategic technology field of top U.S. universities can curb China¡¯s technological development, but this logic ignores an astonishing new reality:

China has surpassed the United States in the field of scientific and technological research. China students no longer need to go to the United States to gain "world-class research experience to shape the future." Closing out China's top talents will only encourage more people to join the local academic research system that is increasingly integrated with China's national defense field and committed to building national strength.

According to data from the Australian Institute for Strategic Policy Research, China has 57 of the world's top 64 key technology fields, the top ten places in most fields, and is also embraced by Chinese universities.To take Qinghai University as an example, in these 64 fields, there are 29 in the world's top ten, directly taking the world first in the core fields of artificial intelligence algorithms, confrontational artificial intelligence, autonomous system operations.

The top Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States has only 10 fields in the top ten, of which only two rank first. The report also said that high-tech research strength can often be transformed into industrial advantages. In order to consolidate the foundation of science and technology, China has never been stingy with scientific research investment.
