French President Macron promised to bring the perpetrators to justice and reiterated that he would strengthen heritage protection.

According to the list disclosed by the French newspaper Figaro, the unknown artifacts include Queen Mary-Amélie of France, King Louis-Philippe, and the mother of Napoleon III, the crowns used by the Dutch Queen Orlando, the blue-collar necklaces and the blue-collar eyebrows; the grandmother¡¯s green necklaces and eyebrows of Napoleon¡¯s grandmother, Queen Mary-Louis, and the nipples and crowns of Queen Orléans of Napoleon III.

According to French media reports, police found a looted crown belonging to Queen Eugenie outside the Louvre. The crown is inlaid with thousands of diamonds and gemstones and was damaged when it was found.

Lol Beccuo, prosecutor of the Paris Prosecutor's Office, told reporters that at around 9:30 local time on the 19th, four masked men came outside the Louvre, worked together to operate the lifting device, sneaked into the room from the exterior balcony of the building, and used the angle grinder to break the display cabinets and steal cultural relics. During this period, the angle grinder was used to threaten the museum security. The thieves escaped on motorcycles. Police have found the yellow vest one of the suspects wore when committing the crime. At this stage, the prosecution has initially determined that this is an organized crime.

According to French officials, the whole crime process lasted only a few minutes.

After the incident, the Louvre evacuated tourists and announced the closure of the building.Becuo said he believed the Louvre would be reopened in a few days.

Macron posted on social media that night, promising to recover the cultural relics and bring the perpetrators to justice, saying that "all localities are making every effort to achieve this goal". He said that France launched the "New Renaissance of the Louvre" program in January this year, which includes strengthening security measures. "It will ensure that the (heritage) that constitutes our memory and culture is preserved and protected."

On the same day, many French politicians condemned the incident. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez posted on social media that "attacking the Louvre is an attack on our history and heritage," which was "unacceptable." Baldeira, chairman of the far-right National League, posted on social media that the robbery was "an unbearable shame for our country." Culture Minister Dati said organized crime is now targeting art and museums are targeted.
