The statement said: “Under the instructions of the highest political level and following a series of major strikes, the Israeli Defense Forces have resumed the ceasefire arrangements after Hamas broke the ceasefire,” adding that the military will “continue to comply with the ceasefire agreement and will respond vigorously to any violations.”
Earlier on the 19th, the Israeli army issued a statement saying that when the Israeli army demolished the infrastructure of armed groups in the Rafah area of the southern Gaza Strip that day, armed men opened fire at the Israeli army and fired anti-tank missiles.
