French Interior Minister: One stolen collection from the Louvre has been recovered

French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said today (October 19th) that the police are hunting for three or four perpetrators who stole the Louvre collection. Nunez pointed out that this is obviously a gang that steps on the spot in advance, is experienced and acts extremely quickly. French Minister of Culture Radati confirmed that a piece of jewelry was left behind on the way of the suspect's escape and has been recovered. The Paris prosecutor announced earlier that it had formally filed the case against the theft of the Louvre. The case was investigated by the Major Crimes Unit of the Paris Judicial Police Department and assisted by the Central Office for Combating Cultural Relics Smuggling.
