Ten thousand people and received support from more than 300 civil society organizations.

In terms of the content of the protests, the main objective of these activities was to oppose the recent policies of the Trump administration on immigration, education, security and customs, which seriously affect the normal order in the United States.

It is worth mentioning that this protest is not the first time. It broke out once as early as June 14th. At that time, Trump used the 250th anniversary celebration of the US Army to hold a military parade to celebrate his birthday. Because this behavior put personal interests and vanity above the interests and rights of the American people, it caused protests of over 5 million people in the United States at that time.

Obviously, this time Trump used the U.S. government shutdown to mess up layoffs, tighten immigration law enforcement, reduce college subsidies, and threaten to raise taxes on China. However, although this protest in 50 states across the United States is larger than before and the number of participants is larger, its actual effect is very limited.

This is mainly because the power of the President of the United States is larger, the Democratic Party does not have an absolute advantage in Congress, and the Supreme Court rulings are long, which means that it is difficult to restrict Trump's dictatorship from the point of view of the separation of executive, legislative and judicial powers.

In addition, despite the massive protests of the American people, they are all peaceful protests, and the lack of organized violent protests and revolutions is difficult to have a fundamental impact on the current capitalist system, which is also the main reason why Trump has failed.

In fact, Trump dared to be out of sovereignty during his second term, mostly seeing the weaknesses of the so-called three-power separation democracy in the United States, which exposes the weaknesses of American democracy.
