The retired French goalkeeper Mandanda returned home to Marseille this week to receive the club's tribute ceremony.
Before the game against Le Havre in Marseille, Mandanda received a commemorative jersey from current captain Baldi and former teammate Niang and kicked off the game.
At the ceremony, the Marseille club officially announced that it will permanently retire from the number 30 shirt that the Mandanda-playing team has worn for 14 seasons in recognition of his outstanding contributions.
Mandanda's Marseille career is legendary. He played 613 games for the team and completed 195 clean sheets. Among them, his 177 clean sheets in the Ligue 1 league is the highest since the 21st century, and he is also the player to play the most Ligue 1 games for Marseille since the 1947-48 season.
