Bangladesh Dacca International Airport Fire Suspends Flights

On the afternoon of the 18th local time, a fire broke out at the cargo terminal of Hazrat Shajaral International Airport in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, causing flight operations at the airport to be suspended.

Farouk, a staff member of Meng's fire and civil defense control department, said the fire broke at the airport cargo station at 2:30 p.m. local time and firefighters were working to extinguish the fire.

As of 6:40 pm local time, live TV footage showed that the fire was still fierce at the scene, and strong black smoke was rolling over the airport.

No casualties have been, and the cause of the fire remains to be determined.
