Xinhua News Agency, Dhaka, October 18 (Reporter Sun Nan) A fire broke out at the cargo terminal of Hazrat Shajalal International Airport in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on the afternoon of the 18th, resulting in the suspension of flights at the airport.

Farouk, a staff member of the department of fire and civil defense control, told Xinhua news agency that the airport cargo station burned at 2:30 p.m. local time, and firefighters were working to extinguish the fire.

As of 6:40 pm local time, live TV footage showed that the fire was still fierce at the scene, and strong black smoke was rolling over the airport.

No casualties have been, and the cause of the fire remains to be determined.
