On October 17th, local time, tens of thousands of Cubans gathered under the statue of Bolivar on Presidential Avenue in Havana, the capital, to protest the continuous military threat imposed by the United States on Venezuela and express their support for Venezuela.
Morales, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and secretary of the Central Organization, said:Venezuela is scammed by Cuba.Calls for the firm defense of Venezuela's right to self-determination and the dignity of the entire Americas.
Approximately 50,000 people attended the rally, gathering representatives from mass organizations, the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and diplomatic missions in Cuba.
Speaking on behalf of the Venezuelan side at the rally, the first deputy chairman of the National Congress of Venezuela, Pedro Inácio, condemned the U.S. continued to pursue “Monroeism”, viewed Latin America as a “background”, publicly pushed for military action against Venezuela, and called for the United States to immediately stop speech filling with xenophobia and end the persecution and denomination policy against the Latin American people.
