Spanish fashion brand Mango founder Isaac Andic died unfortunately in mid-December last year at the age of 71.
It is that one of the wealthiest men in Spain, who was walking with his family before his death on a sidewalk near the Colbassal-Nitre cave in the Montserrat Mountains, suffered a stone crash, suddenly lost his balance, fell into a canyon about 150 meters high, hitting his death.
Although Isaac's death was ruled an accident by the police at the time, things have now taken a turning point. His son, Jonathan Andic, who has been listed as a suspect by the police, has been formally investigated.
According to the news on October 17th, local time, after 10 months of investigation, the case of Isaac's death has been turned into a possible homicide investigation, and Jonathan, 44, has been identified as a potential suspect. The reason for this is that after the tragedy, Jonathan provided contradictory testimony to the police, including where the car was parked and whether photos were taken on the day of the accident.
Jonathan, who has been appointed vice president of Mango's board of directors, is currently suspected of containing potential evidence on his mobile phone. Police are looking for photos of the scene that may have been deleted, his phone records and the route taken by the father and son on the day of the tragedy.
Jonathan was the only witness at the time of the tragedy. He told police that he was walking in front of his father, and that they were no strangers to the path they took at the time and were known to be "not particularly dangerous."
Jonathan said he turned around and saw his father suddenly fall from the side of the road after he heard the sound of the stone falling. But according to an informed person, Jonathan's description of the incident appeared to be inconsistent with forensic evidence on the scene, and investigators found a series of clues that made them no longer think it was a mere accident, "the informed person explained, but he did not explain further.
Estefanía Knuth, 52, is Isaac's girlfriend and collaborator and a Spanish professional golfer. When questioned by police, she revealed that she was the last person to see Isaac alive. In addition, she also said that "the father-son relationship is not good."
It is reported that although no direct evidence of murder has been found, contradictions in Jonathan's testimony and his "complex" relationship with his father were the reasons for the court's decision to formally investigate him.
Regarding Jonathan being regarded as a suspect, the Andic family also issued a statement, saying that it would not comment on the matter, but would respect the ongoing investigation and continue to cooperate with relevant departments."We believe this process will end as soon as possible. Jonathan Andic's innocence will be proved."
It is that Isaac left a fortune of approximately $4.5 billion (approximately RMB 32.1 billion) after his death. Existing data suggests that the estate will be inherited by his three children, but Esther affirmed that she should receive the $80 million share, but whether it will be accepted remains unresolved.
