Trump administration freezes $11 billion in infrastructure funding

On October 17, local time, White House Administration and Budget Office chief Walter said that the "stop" continued. The Trump administration will freeze approximately $11 billion in funding for infrastructure projects, mainly related to Democratic ruling cities.

Walter said on social media that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will suspend construction of "low-priority" projects in New York, San Francisco, Boston and Baltimore.

This is the second round of freezing infrastructure expenditure during the "shutdown" period of the Trump administration, and the allocation of funds for a number of transportation and energy projects has been suspended before. According to the analysis, this move is aimed at putting pressure on the Democratic Party to end the "shutdown" of the government that began on October 1st as soon as possible.
