On the evening of October 17 local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Al-Araqi posted on his social platform:United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 will officially expire on October 18, when all previous Security Council restrictions on Iran will be terminated and the Iranian nuclear issue will be officially removed from the Security Council's agenda.

More than 120 countries have agreed with Iran at the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) summit in Kampala, Uganda, and he said that as a party to the NPT, Iran will continue to fulfill its obligations under the treaty while upholding its legitimate rights, including the scale of Iran’s nuclear program, and that Iran will cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency only within the framework of a comprehensive supervision agreement and in accordance with relevant legislation recently adopted by its parliament.

Araghzi stressed that the illegal measures taken by a few isolated countries have been rejected by the vast majority of countries in the international community. Those countries that still insist on distorting reality will only further put themselves on the road of isolation.

Aragzi finally reiterated that Iran's sovereignty is neither negotiable nor subject to any political pressure. The rule of law should be the norm, not coercion.

According to Iranian state television, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharib Abadi said that night that with the termination of the resolution, the status of Iran's nuclear issue in the International Atomic Energy Agency will also change, and the director general of the Agency will no longer need to submit a report on the Iranian nuclear deal in the future.
