A 26-year-old Belarusian woman was lured to Myanmar by "modeling work". She was killed after defrauding the rich with her beauty. Her organs were sold on the black market

According to British media reports on October 15, 26-year-old Vera Kravzova was reportedly trafficked to Myanmar and forced to become a "slave" to the rich. The Belarusian woman originally signed a modeling job in Bangkok and came to Thailand with the dream of becoming famous on the country's most luxurious runway, but her career path quickly took a tragic turn.

The report said: "She flew to Bangkok for a job interview, but failed to get on the catwalk and was instead taken to Myanmar to become a slave. Her duties include relying on her beauty, serving the 'master' and defrauding the rich."

Various reports show that she was forcibly taken to neighboring Myanmar around September 12, where she was used in a notorious "fraud center." Another online report claimed: "What awaits her is not filming and contract, but is taken across the border to Myanmar and become a prisoner in a fraud center."

Myanmar is famous for similar scams, first attracting foreign women with excellent career prospects, and then involving them in criminal conspiracies. Earlier, some victims said that they were forced to hand in their passports, their mobile phones were confiscated, and they could not contact their relatives for help.

Criminal gangs and Myanmar militias operate numerous such illegal call centers on the border with Myanmar. Abducted workers are tortured and blackmailed and face the threat of organ harvesting or forced prostitution if they fail to get enough money from cyber victims in fraud calls.

Reports about Kravzova pointed out that human traffickers asked her to "maintain her beauty and extort money from wealthy customers." She was forced to agree to work out of fear for her life, but when her client resources were exhausted and could no longer continue to make profits, she disappeared mysteriously. A few weeks later, her family was told she had died and received information that she would have to pay $500,000 to bury her body. The family members did not pay the ransom and subsequently received a notice that they had been cremated.

The report said: "Vera disappeared in early October. Shortly after, unidentified persons contacted her family and informed her that her organs had been sold and her body had been cremated." Kravzova holds a university degree and recently moved to St. Petersburg, Russia, from Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

Similar incidents have occurred frequently in Myanmar in recent weeks. According to reports, Dashinima Ochirnyeva, a 24-year-old woman from Siberia, was also recruited as a model and "included in the organ trafficking list". She was eventually rescued by Russian diplomats. The woman was illegally smuggled to the Myanmar border after accepting a "modeling job".

“After arriving in Thailand, the Red Tower woman was taken to a special camp on the Myanmar border, where people became slaves to serve ‘the master’ and were forced to participate in fraud activities. Young-looking women were recruited as ‘models’ to use facial fraud and the rest were trained in speech to blackmail money.”

Russian ambassador to Thailand, Yevgeny Tomisin, personally involved in the operation to rescue Ochilnimayeva, noted that the woman was "tricked into traveling from Thailand to Myanmar in early September and was suspected of being subjected to forced labor in the notorious call center". She reportedly got the job through social platforms.
