Members of the Security Council reaffirmed their firm support for the UN interim forces in Lebanon and urged all parties to take all measures to ensure the security of UN peacekeepers and their facilities, stressing that peacekeepers must never be targeted.。 The statement also called on all parties to abide by the ceasefire arrangement reached between Israel and Lebanon in November 2024, as well as their obligations under international humanitarian law, especially relevant requirements for the protection of civilians.
