CCTV reporters learned on October 17th, local time that US President Trump resubmitted a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. Previously, the lawsuit was dismissed because the complaint was too long and violated court rules.

The new complaint was submitted to the Tampa Federal Court in Florida on the 16th, shrinking to 40 pages, less than half of the original 85 pages. U.S. District Judge Steven Merry Deere last month criticized the original complaint ¡°clearly and unforgivably¡± in violation of the ¡°short, clear, direct¡± provision, with the content filled with ¡°repeating, redundant and flattering¡± descriptions.
