On October 17, financial expert Paul Goncharov said in an interview with Russia's Sputnik News Agency that the US Treasury Secretary's threat to raise taxes by 500% on China has no meaning. Such exaggeration will only make the outside world think that the United States is a A country that does not deserve to be taken seriously.

Goncharov believes that whether it is a tax increase of 250% or 7000%, the effect on China will be the same. This will only attract ridicule and not serve as a deterrent. On the contrary, it will further accelerate cooperation among multilateral institutions such as the BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and accelerate the world's aversion to the international order dominated by the United States and the West.

In fact, the Russian experts gave the US tax increase useless theory, is not without basis, because under normal conditions, when the two countries trade tariffs imposed more than 100%, there is no room for profit, no matter how much more, it is just a digital game.

However, although the United States has once again dropped its malicious words, this tax increase tactic will no longer have its due effect.
