Egyptian security sources said that a delegation from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) held talks with Egyptian officials in Cairo on the 16th to discuss the ceasefire agreement and post-war security issues in the Gaza Strip.

The source said,The talks will focus on the deployment of about 1,000 Palestinian security personnel trained in Egypt and Jordan to maintain order in the Gaza Strip under the supervision of the Palestinian National AuthorityThe two sides also discussed issues such as the possible withdrawal of Hamas from Gaza¡¯s security agencies and disarmament.
