On October 16, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Apple CEO Cook. The two sides exchanged views on Sino-US economic and trade relations and Apple's business development in China.

Wang Ventao said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the economic and trade teams of the two sides have held four talks since May to promote the stability of the Sino-U.S. economic and trade relations in recent years, mainly because the United States has intensely introduced a series of restrictive measures against China after the economic and trade talks in Madrid, seriously damaging the Chinese interests and undermining the atmosphere of economic and trade talks between the two sides.

Wang Wang Tao pointed out that the Chinese government will unswervingly promote high level of opening up to the outside world, continuously optimize the business environment, so that foreign-invested enterprises share China's development opportunities.

Cook said that Apple will continue to firmly take root in China, deeply cultivate China, and actively participate in China's high-quality development. Good U.S. -China economic and trade relations are not only of great significance to the two countries, but also conducive to global economic stability and development. Apple is willing to contribute positive to win-win cooperation between the United States and China.
