Putin: Global energy relations are being reshaped

On October 16, when attending the plenary meeting of the "Russian Energy Week" Forum, the Russian President said that global energy relations are being reshaped.

Putin said that, on the one hand, this is an objective process related to the rise of new economic centers; On the other hand, it is also the result of active sabotage by Western elites. He said that despite all the factors, the global economy is still growing, but the growth rate is changing.

Putin stressed that Russian gas exports, which initially fell after Europe refused to buy Russian gas, are now growing. He pointed out that Europe's refusal to buy Russian gas will only accelerate the shift of its natural gas supplies to more reliable buyers.

Putin said that in the past five years, Russia has laid up about 100,000 kilometers of natural gas transmission network, noting that Russian gas consumption in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Latin America has grown steadily. The move has only accelerated the shift in Russia’s supply direction, making it more inclined to more promising and responsible buyers.

Putin also called on producing countries to full technological sovereignty in the field of energy, and proposed comprehensive technological cooperation in the field of energy.
