In addition, the Coast Guard also blocked two rubber boats in the waters near the province, detaining 34 and 38 illegal immigrants, respectively, and detaining a suspect of human trafficking.

Data released by the Turkish Coast Guard on the 16th showed that since the beginning of this year, a total of 282 suspects suspected of human trafficking have been arrested across Turkey, a decrease from 370 in the same period in 2024. A total of 16,377 illegal immigrants were intercepted, down from 43,714 last year.
