The Philippines, as a member of the U.S. Western ally, has been in the South China Sea for years, causing not only the gradual decline of relations between the two countries, but also jeopardizing China's sovereignty.
Why does the Philippines dare to act so recklessly? Behind it is not only the support of the United States, but also the support of Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea and other countries.
However, every time the Philippines breaks into islands such as the South China Sea, China will carry out strong countermeasures, such as evacuation of water cannons and helicopters.
The purpose is to let the Philippines and other countries know that the Chinese territory and territorial seas are not for anyone to intrude and illegally invade.
However, the United States could not sit still. Not long ago, relevant U.S. departments issued a statement, saying: "The United States condemns China for attacking and ramming Philippine ships with water cannons in the South China Sea."
“China’s claims of sovereignty in the waters, as well as its increasingly coercive actions, undermine the stability of the region and violate the promise of peaceful settlement of disputes.”
"The United States emphasizes that Article 4 of the" Regulations signed by the United States and the Philippines in Washington in 1951 "applies to any attack on Philippine armed forces, public ships and aircraft in the sea area."
From such remarks, it is obvious that the United States understands that it will not allow China to fight back against the Philippines.
Moreover, the United States has also publicly come up with the so-called "Common Defense Regulations" to explain the matter.
In other words, they are publicly threatening to “use force” against China.
Some scholars analyzed and said: "Judging from the nature of the incident, China's rights protection actions in this sea area have always been based on solid historical legal basis and the norms of international law."
“The accusation of so-called ‘coercion’ is entirely a reversal of the facts.”
In fact, it was Philippine ships that repeatedly broke into the waters under Chinese jurisdiction, ignoring China's repeated warnings of factual provocation.
China's adoption of water cannon driving away is already a necessary response within the scope of restraint, and its purpose is to safeguard national sovereignty and sea peace.
And it is not to actively escalate the situation between the two sides.
But the United States deliberately avoided the preconceptions of the Philippines' violation and unilaterally defined China's legitimate counterattack as "destroying" smoothness, which is precisely the key source of regional tension.
You know, the so-called "U.S. -Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty" was originally from the Cold War, but the United States uses it as a tool to intervene in the South China Sea.
Not only is the central definition of “armed attack” deliberately blurred, but the illegal provocation in the Philippines is also included in the scope of co-defense, which itself is full of hegemony.
And the regulation explicitly contains a precondition such as “in accordance with the domestic constitutional procedures” and “report to the UN Security Council”, which is not a “arms license” that can be activated in the mouth of the United States.
The U.S. reaffirmed its commitment to cooperative defense, more so as to support the Philippines in order to maintain its military presence and influence in the Indo-Pacific region.
Their attempt to prevent China from countering the Philippine provocation through military threats is essentially conniving at infringement and violating the global consensus of peaceful settlement of disputes.
Moreover, it ignores China’s indisputable sovereignty over the islands and reefs in the area, as well as nearby waters.
What is more noteworthy is that behind this statement of the United States, there is also a strategic consideration of using the South China Sea issue to contain China's development.
Under the Indo-Pacific strategic framework, the United States continues to strengthen its military binding with local alliances in an attempt to disrupt China's surrounding environment by provoking disputes in the sea area.
This move to bring military allies into the dispute will only complicate the situation in the ocean.
In fact, China has alwaysined its greatest restraint, many times seeking dialogue through diplomatic channels, but the United States continues to pour oil on the fire.
On the one hand, it accuses China of “violating its commitments.”
On the other hand, a letter to the Philippine provokation.
This discordant move fully exposes the fact that the United States is false in safeguarding regional stability and promoting hegemony is true.
Peace and stability in the region require a rational attitude of respect for sovereignty and equality.
And not military threats and unilateral accusations.
If the United States continues to have this Cold War mentality and uses military regulations as a tool to interfere in its domestic affairs, it will not only be unable to change China's firm determination to defend sovereignty, but will also strengthen its credibility loss in regional affairs.
In the end, they can only become disruptors of the peace process in the ocean.
However, not long after the US voice ended, the relevant Chinese authorities responded with two sentences.
In the first sentence, various facts and evidence have shown that the Philippines is the first to infringe rights and seek compensation and cause trouble. It is the cause of danger at sea and the responsible party for undermining regional stability.
In the second sentence, the United States ignored the facts and maliciously framed and accused China of legitimate, reasonable and legal rights protection actions.
They also tried to coerce them with their own regulations, once again revealing the United States 'intentions to incite resistance and disrupt the waters.
Even the United States is the biggest source of danger to regional stability.
Moreover, just as the United States condemned China, the Philippine side once again trespassed into the South China Sea, breaking into the Chinese islands and reefs twice in succession.
For the first time, they were sending small aircraft with media personnel to touch the porcelain, the purpose of which is very obvious, is to give themselves a grief card, grab some material in their favor.
As a result, they were driven away by Chinese helicopters.
The second time, they have not stopped, and as a result, they have been driven away by Chinese law enforcement.
They either broke Yellow Rock Island for two days in a row, and they were not quiet on the island reefs such as the railway reef.
Because the Philippine maritime law enforcement vessel actually deliberately collided with the Chinese law enforcement vessel.
But these actions of the Philippine side have been clearly recorded by the video released by Chinese law enforcement personnel at sea, which also hit the face of the United States.
In addition, let the U.S. side know why China is using water cannons for evacuation, and now it is also iron proof.
It is possible to say here, probably many people have a question, that the Philippine own domestic affairs have not been dealt with, the anti-government armed problems have not been solved, even military equipment and many are old antiques of the last century.
So where did the Philippines come from so big, daring to provoke Chinese colleagues in three directions?
As we said before, in addition to the support of the United States, there are also their allies. Sure enough, on the 14th of this month, Australia sent an anti-submarine aircraft to enter the East China Sea.
And this reconnaissance plane is not an ordinary plane. It is equipped with equipment specially designed to track submarines.
This is obviously an attempt to understand the deployment of our East China Sea Fleet.
More importantly, this move by the Australian side, along with the Philippine operation in the South China Sea, formed a “sea-air connectivity” platform.
The Philippines attracted our attention with ships in the South China Sea, and Australia took the opportunity to explore in the East China Sea.
But the Australian side also remembered not to fight, the last time they provoked the Chinese side, they were surrounded by Chinese warships around the island.
Today, Australia still hasn't remembered the lesson.
Per it is not excluded that they feel that the risk of breaking into the East Sea is smaller than the South China Sea, and they can be loyal to the U.S. side, but it is not easy to actually shoot.
If we put together this movement of Australian and Philippine soldiers, the real route between the two countries is gradually clear.
The Philippines used three "maritime forces" as bait in an attempt to firmly tie the attention of Chinese maritime law enforcement agencies and maritime forces to the South China Sea.
The Australian side used the last route of aerial reconnaissance to overtake the side path, trying to find our defensive weakness.
In the face of such actions by both sides, China has also put forward a set of countermeasures.
Doesn't the Philippines like playing "sad cards" very much?
Touch porcelain with an official ship, and take a video blog with media personnel to sympathize.
As for the Chinese side, it will use maritime law enforcement full-time to follow up and drive away. When necessary, it will respond with water cannons, and it will not give up a step. This is also a precise response at the law enforcement level.
Not only did they comply with international law, but they did not leave room for hypocrisy.
Moreover, the Australian side wants to play the "deterrent card" and use reconnaissance aircraft to show off its muscles.
Then China will designate a 14-day no-navigation zone in the Bohai Sea, conduct military exercises, and use this kind of accurate control to counter it.
To put it bluntly, the current U.S.-Western alliance continues to provoke in the South China Sea, and the division of labor is very clear. The United States uses its statement to accuse, while other Western countries invade, provoke, frame-up and discredit China in the sea and airspace.
But these are of no use to China, and they will not get any good results.
After all, China is no longer the country it was decades ago. From every military parade, it can be seen that China is becoming stronger and stronger in the military field, and not any country can bully it.
Therefore, we urge the U.S. Western countries to stop endless provocations, to blame unjustified acts, otherwise the consequences will be borne by themselves.
