According to the British "Daily Mail" and other foreign media reports on the 15th, a passenger plane of Hungarian Wizz Air returning from Egypt had an emergency during the flight and was forced to make an emergency landing in Naples, Italy. Some passengers reported an "explosion" on board.

The Airbus A321neo passenger plane flew on Flight W4 6118 from the Egyptian Red Sea city of Sharm el-Sheikh to Rome, Italy, on October 14, with a number of media journalists and cameras on board, who have just participated in the reporting of an international summit hosted by Egypt on the peace program in Gaza.

Flight data showed that the passenger plane dropped from about 10,900 meters to about 4,100 meters in just eight minutes, citing passengers who said they heard a ¡°explosion¡± from the cargo cabin and smoke.

Wizz Air then issued a statement saying: "Flight W4 6118, which flew on October 14th, was diverted to Naples due to unexpected technical failure. The plane landed safely, all passengers got off the plane safely, and no one was injured. Unlike some media reports, there was no sign of smoke or fire on board. However, as ensuring the safety of passengers and crew is our top priority, the maintenance team of the airline is thoroughly inspecting the plane according to regulations."

The statement added: ¡°Passengers and luggage have been arranged to be transported to their final destination.The airline thanked the pilots and crew members for ensuring everyone¡¯s safety during the landing and for making the right decision to replace the aircraft in Naples.¡±

The report mentioned that a similar incident occurred in Ryanair recently. A Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 passenger plane was originally scheduled to fly from Krakow, Poland to Bristol, England on October 12th. Before takeoff, the crew said that they smelled smoke, and the flight was immediately cancelled, and passengers were evacuated through emergency slides.
