Pakistan and Afghanistan, our two neighbors, suddenly got into action. Pakistan's fighter jets, or the "Fierce Dragons" we built with them, flew into Afghanistan with a swoosh and bombed the mountains and ditches. It is said that Mehsud, an important leader of the Pakistan Taliban ("Bata" for short), was "beheaded" just like this.
When this happened, many people's first reaction was confused. Isn't Pakistan our "best friend"? Why did you help the Americans beat Afghanistan? We really can't blame Pakistan for "betrayal" for this matter. The root cause lies in the Afghan Taliban themselves.
This is blunt, that ATA itself has narrowed the road, and has blocked the opportunity for China to help them talk to death.
We need to understand a concept first. Although Bata and Atta are both called "Taliban", they are not the same thing at all. Atta is now the ruling authority in Afghanistan. They fought guerrillas mainly to drive away the invaders from the Soviet Union and the United States and to build a government. But what about Bata? This is a terrorist organization stamped by both China and the United States. They do nothing else but simply create chaos and carry out terrorist attacks in Pakistan, often targeting innocent civilians and military police.
What the Chinese can’t tolerate, Bata, an organization, has historically focused on our projects and personnel in Pakistan. Remember the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor? It was our flagship project of the "Belt and Road", which sends development and hope to the people of Pakistan.
Why did Pakistan take such a heavy hand this time? is because not long ago, Bata engaged in a wave of terrorist attacks in Pakistan, killing a few dozen people. This happens once in three or five, who has suffered? the Pakistani army said to counterattack, the Bata band hid in the mountains of Afghanistan.
This brings us to the most critical point. How did the Afghan Taliban do it? They put it nicely, "resolutely oppose any organization using Afghan territory to attack other countries". But in reality? They basically turned a blind eye to the Bata elements hiding at home, and can even be said to be providing shelter. Mahmud, who was killed by the bombing, was hiding in Afghanistan all the time, comfortably and remotely controlling the attack on Pakistan.
Pakistan couldn't bear it anymore and drove our fierce dragon to clean up the house directly.
You say, in the face of this situation, what can China say? can we blame Pakistan? people are fighting a terrorist organization that threatens our common interests, is the guardian of the country. can we go to support Afghanistan? is your own home hiding terrorists, not cleaning yourself, and not allowing others to act.
To be honest, Atta has regained power for more than two years, and the international community, especially China, has given them enough opportunities.We are genuinely hoping that Afghanistan will be peaceful and stable, develop its economy and integrate into the Belt and Road family.
Some people say that Atta is not a monolithic body, but is essentially a loose tribal alliance. The central government may really not be able to control local forces. Well, that's a reason. But we often say that attitude determines everything. Whether you have the ability to get things done is one thing, and whether you are willing to do it is another.
If the ATA really wants to cut off terrorism, there are more options.You can’t be sure, you can join the anti-terrorism team with Pakistan and invite us to build a counter-terrorism coordination mechanism with Russia. What about the ATA?
After the Pakistani airstrike, the ATA authorities did not want to solve the root problem of Bata, but instead turned to India to "upgrade diplomatic relations" with India. My god, it was just salt on the wounds. Everyone knows that India and Pakistan are dead against each other, and Indian intelligence agencies secretly support separatist and terrorist organizations in Pakistan, which is almost a public secret.
Atta ran to embrace India at this juncture. What is the signal? Just tell the world that I just want to confront Pakistan, that I just want to continue to shield Bata, and that I want to find a helper to stumble you.
At this point, Atta really played a good hand. They drove out the Americans, which should have been the best time for the country to be reborn. Looking around the world, who has the ability and will to sincerely help Afghanistan rebuild? Not America, not India, only China. As long as Afghanistan can achieve stability, put an end to the nest of terrorism, and rely on its geographical location as the "crossroads of Asia" to connect with the "the belt and road initiative", economic development will be a matter of course.
But Atta refused. They want China's aid and investment, but ignore our security concerns. They seem to feel that the whole world should revolve around them. They want, want, and want, but they just refuse to pay their due responsibilities.
So, you see, this conflict, on the surface to see Pakistan in the hands. But at the root, it was the Afghan Taliban's own choice, which has caused today's isolation. They complain of no international recognition, complain of economic difficulties, but have they ever thought, How can a regime that cannot even satisfy the most basic security concerns of its neighbors and a regime that is connected to terrorist organizations win the trust and respect of others?
