Trump Complains: They Make My Hair ¡°Disappear¡±

On October 13th, local time, Time magazine published the cover of its November 10th issue, using a photo taken from below US President Trump. In the photo, Trump looked up and stared as if illuminated by the sun. The headline on the cover is "His Victory," focusing on Trump's push for a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

But this photo caused Trump's dissatisfaction. On the 14th local time, Trump posted on his own social platform "Truth Social", complaining that Time magazine chose a "worst photo in history" as the cover picture.

Trump wrote: "Time wrote a decent story about me, but chose probably the worst photo in history. They made my hair'disappear'and then put something floating above my head, which looked like a floating crown, but it was very small. Really weird!"

Trump said that he never liked photos taken from bottom to top. "This photo is so bad that it must be criticized by name. What the hell are they doing and why are they doing this?"

Just a few hours before Trump fiercely criticized Time magazine, he ended his visit to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. On the 13th local time, the "Peace Summit" was held in Sharm el-Sheikh. The leaders of Trump, Egyptian President Seyce, Turkish President Erdogan and Qatari Emir Tamim signed documents, promising to support the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza as guarantors.

Last year, after being named Time Magazine¡¯s People of the Year, Trump said: ¡°I really want to thank Time magazine. I¡¯ve been on the cover a lot of times. I don¡¯t know who keeps the record, but I have to say that about 25 percent of the cover is good, 25 percent is great, the rest I can only hide.

Regarding the cover image chosen for the latest issue of Time, Carly Earl, photo editor of Australia's Guardian, said: "Technically speaking, this photo itself is well taken. They chose this photo to make Trump look more 'heroic'."

Earl said: ¡°Looking up and down can create a sense of magnificence. Trump¡¯s expression is thoughtful, and even a few ¡°sanctions of sacredness.¡± It¡¯s rare to see Trump¡¯s moments of so quiet being photographed, with a soft breath.¡±

Earl said that Trump's hair looked "disappearing" because the sunlight behind him overexposed this part of the picture, forming an effect similar to "halo". However, she also admitted that photos can't always satisfy the people being photographed. "No one likes to be photographed from below. Although this photo is very powerful in composition and concept, it is not pleasing from an aesthetic point of view."
