On the evening of 14 local time, a car bomb attack near the Guayaquil Financial Center and a shopping center in Ecuador's largest city killed one person and wounded 30 people. The attack took place next to the office of the Ecuadorian President Novoa, and Ecuadorian Interior Minister John Remberg declared it a "terrorist attack".
