Embezzlement of China assets? There is no way! China made a move to punish the Netherlands and suppress the EU

Under the constant instigation of the Trump administration, the Netherlands has begun to feel uneasy again. It wants to take advantage of the blockade of Chinese semiconductor companies by the United States and take the opportunity to take over Chinese semiconductor companies in the Netherlands without spending a dime.

After the news broke out, China was not accustomed to imposing sanctions on the Netherlands in less than 24 hours.

For what purpose did the Netherlands want to “take over” China’s semiconductor companies?

The Netherlands is ready to take advantage of the situation

On October 14, the U.S. media agency Bloomberg that the Dutch government would freeze the assets of Chinese semiconductor company Zhou Tai Technologies in the Dutch territory of the semiconductor subsidiary Anse Semiconductor worth 14.7 billion.

The subsidiary company Anshi Semiconductor was forcibly entrusted by the Dutch Conquest, and it dominated the China CEO sent by China to the company. The equity was suspended overnight, and China companies became nominal shareholders, and all the real power belonged to the Dutch Conquest.

This is something that the United States did not dare to do, but the Dutch government, despite the rules of international trade, directly imposed.

After the news broke out, on September 15, the Chinese government decided to embark on sanctions on the Netherlands, and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce issued an export control notice banning Anselm China and its distributors from exporting certain finished components and components made in China.

This export control will interrupt AXIS Semiconductor's supply from China to the United States and Europe, and will also directly lead to cost explosions and even supply interruptions in the production of European cars such as Volkswagen and BMW.

At the same time, China may also tighten export controls on rare earths to the Netherlands.

Without the Chinese market and rare earth, the Dutch semiconductor equipment company Asma would directly fall into paralysis.

China’s move is aimed not only at the Netherlands, but also to deter and warn Europe’s politicians that the trade war between the United States and China has now shifted, and that if it continues again, it will have serious consequences.

China's counter-measures are definitely not just retaliation, but to re-establish the global trading system and rules broken by the United States and some European countries.

In the past few years, under the authorization and guidance of the United States, the Dutch government used its leadership position in semiconductor equipment to impose blockades and sanctions on China. China has been humiliating its anger in order to maintain the stability of global trade.

Without the supply of international high-end semiconductor equipment, China worked hard, made independent breakthroughs, and finally broke the overseas blockade. Now the United States and Western countries believe that it is no longer possible to block China in this field, so they have started their old business on the island again. To directly rob Chinese companies.

What motivates the Netherlands to do this?

The Americans, plus the Dutch greed.

The cause of this is that the U.S. Department of Commerce has engaged in new "share penetration" rules to block and curb the development of Chinese semiconductor technology.

Anselm Semiconductor was originally a Dutch bankrupt semiconductor enterprise, in 2018, the Chinese semiconductor enterprise, through three acquisitions, controlled Anselm Semiconductor 100% shareholding, and under its own management, the positive benefits brought to the enterprise.

At that time, in order to meet the regulatory requirements of the Dutch government, Yucheng Holdings, a subsidiary of Wingtech Technology in Hong Kong, held 99% of these shares in Nexperia.

The acquisition of Wingtech Technology cost a total of 33.7 billion yuan. At that time, this move was very bold, because most of the funds were not self-owned funds, but from fixed financing in the stock market and syndicated loans.

Anshi Semiconductor will rise from 11th in the world in power discrete devices in 2019 to 3rd in the world and 1st in China in 2024.

Annual shipments of devices in 2020-2024 increased from about 70 billion units to more than 100 billion units, and revenue peaked at €23.6 billion in 2022.

In 2024, operating income will be 14.715 billion yuan and net profit will be 2.297 billion yuan. In October of that year, the M & A loan will be paid off and entered a "zero-debt" operation.

A semiconductor company that was originally unable to operate, after the acquisition of Chinese enterprises, resurged and created such a huge return for shareholders, then how could the Dutch government not see the burden of selling the company?

By 2024, Wentai Technology will naturally be included in the "entity list" because it is too good at fighting in the semiconductor field and affects American semiconductor companies to make money.

On September 29, 2025, after lobbying from many parties, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a "penetrating" new regulation, and subsidiaries of entities holding more than 50% of the shares of entities listed companies will also be automatically controlled. Although Wentai Technology holds shares in Anshi through Hong Kong Yucheng, after penetration, Anshi Semiconductor entered the U.S. entity list and faced the risk of interruption of U.S. equipment, software and technology.

This move by the United States has given Dutch politicians the hope of "reasonable" robbery, and if China is in trouble, it will use the United States as a shield.

Therefore, the Dutch government used "economic security" and "governance flaws" as excuses to issue a freeze order against Anshi Semiconductor. At this point, China semiconductor company Wentai Technology lost its management rights and decision-making rights over Anshi Semiconductor.

Nexperia is mainly engaged in automotive-grade power devices and plays a key role in the global automotive supply chain. But without China's supply chain and China's market, even if the Dutch conquest takes this company back, it will eventually end up in bankruptcy and liquidation.

At the same time, it also reminded Chinese enterprises that the development of core technologies must rely on themselves, and there is still a certain risk of obtaining overseas technology through equity acquisitions in the case of China-U.S. disconnection and the reconstruction of the global trade system.
