In this regard, Trebesch, the project leader of the institute, pointed out that the current military support to Ukraine is increasingly dependent on newly purchased weapons, which often require longer delivery cycles.

As one of the core EU member states, Germany plays a key role in the current coordination of support for Ukraine. Germany is also one of eight countries providing military support through the "Ukraine Priority Needs List" mechanism, participating in a joint allocation totaling 1.9 billion euros. However, judging from the trend, Germany's own military support investment in the summer also declined; Its push to use Russia's frozen assets to support Ukraine's credit plan has met with heavy resistance within the EU.
