On the morning of 15 October, local time, a truck filled with humanitarian supplies started its journey from the Egyptian port of Rafah to Gaza. A truck filled with fuel and natural gas was travelling from Rafah to Kerem Shalom and Zikim to deliver aid supplies to Gaza. Located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip and bordering Egypt, the Rafah Strait is the main route for international humanitarian aid supplies to the Gaza Strip. The headquarters that 600 rescue trucks will enter the Gaza Strip once the port is reopened. The first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement entered into force on October 10 local time, stipulating that the Rafah port will be opened within 72 hours after the ceasefire came into force, but the government said that, given that Hamas failed to hand over the bodies of all detainees on time, it decided to suspend the reopening of the Rafah port as a countermeasure.
