On the same day, the expert group of China's schistosomiasis control technology project in Zanzibar held a training course on "Publicity and Implementation of Chinese Schistosomiasis Standards and Nucleic Acid Detection of Schistosoma haematobium" in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

At the event site, combined with the successful experience of schistosomiasis prevention and control in China, the expert group systematically explained a number of Chinese standards for schistosomiasis prevention and control technologies, introduced the specification requirements of the whole process of schistosomiasis prevention and control in detail, and demonstrated the nucleic acid detection technology of Schistosoma haematobium on the spot.

Saleh Juma, representative of the health department of Zanzibar, said that through this training, local health staff not only deepened their understanding of schistosomiasis prevention and control standards, but also effectively mastered advanced nucleic acid detection technology, improving Zanzibar's ability to improve schistosomiasis surveillance, diagnosis and prevention and control injects new impetus.

According to Wang Wei, leader of the Chinese project team, in order to further enhance the professional and technical ability of public health personnel in Zanzibar and promote the standardization and scientific development of local schistosomiasis prevention and control, more than 60 professional and technical personnel from various health departments in Zanzibar participated in this training.
