Bus fire in western India kills 20 people

Xinhua News Agency, New Delhi, October 15th According to Indian media reports, a long-distance bus in Rajasthan, western India, caught fire while driving on the 14th, killing 20 people and seriously injuring 16 others.

The report quoted Indian police sources as saying that at around 3 pm local time on the 14th, the bus carrying 57 passengers suddenly emitted smoke from the tail while driving, and then the whole car was engulfed by the fire. After the accident, local residents and passers-by rushed to the scene to assist in the rescue, and the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the police initially suspected that the fire might be caused by a short circuit in the internal circuit of the vehicle, and have launched an investigation.
