The remaining two “living faces” of the visit to China, one of which is Swedish Foreign Minister Steingaard, will visit China on 16-17 September, which is also her first trip to China since she took office last September.As the first Western country to establish diplomatic relations with China, China and Switzerland this year coincide with the 75th anniversary of the establishment.
Her visit may continue to deepen cooperation in green economy and technological innovation with China. Sweden has advantages in the fields of electric vehicle batteries and carbon capture technology and is highly consistent with China's "double carbon" goals. The two sides may sign a series of agreements to promote mutual recognition of technical standards. It is worth mentioning that the economic and trade negotiations between China and the United States at the end of July were also held in Stockholm, Sweden, which also reflected the relationship between Sweden and China.
In addition, China's ambassador to Sweden, Trai Yemin, is about to leave office, and when he resigned to meet the Swedish diplomatic secretary, the two sides exchanged views on the development of China-Sweden relations, and agreed that the prospects for friendly cooperation between the two countries are broad.
And the second "living face" is Canadian Foreign Minister Anand, she will also visit China on 16-17th, which is also a key step after China-Canada relations since 2024. as the new foreign minister just took office in May this year, this is her first visit to China, the two sides will also use this year's high-level interaction to "hit the iron".
Although China-Canada relations have previously fallen into a low valley because of some things, since Carney took office as Prime Minister of Canada in March this year, with "practical breaking the ice" as the core tone, to push China-Canada relations out of the fog.
