On October 14th, when US President Trump mentioned North Korea at an internal meeting, he rarely used the word "worthy of respect". In fact, the story had been buried decades ago. In 1966, a North Korean special force raided a U.S. military post in a de-military zone and retreated. Two years later, in 1968, North Korea seized the U.S. reconnaissance ship "Pweeblood" and 82 crew members, forcing the U.S. to sign an apology letter. In 1969, North Korea shot down a U.S. reconnaissance aircraft EC-121 in the high seas, leaving 31 people alive.

One incident after another occurred. North Korea not only caused the United States to suffer a dumb loss, but also created four "world firsts". In the late autumn of 1966, the night in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea was surprisingly quiet. The United States was furious and sent three aircraft carriers to North Korean waters to demonstrate, but North Korea directly displayed the prisoners on TV and made a tough statement: it would not release them without apologizing.

After 11 months of negotiations, the U.S. finally signed a written apology, acknowledging the violation of North Korea¡¯s territorial sea, and pledging ¡°not to do it again.¡± This is the first time in the history of the United States that it has formally apologized to other countries for military conflicts, and North Korea won the second world first place.

On April 15, 1969, Kim Il Sung's birthday, North Korea once again "gave gifts". A US military EC-121 electronic reconnaissance aircraft is carrying out missions in the airspace of Japan's sea and sea. According to the unspoken rules of the Cold War, even enemy reconnaissance aircraft must give a warning first.
