Cambodian Interior Ministry: 80 South Koreans detained by Cambodian Immigration General

On October 14, DuSoca, a spokesman for the Cambodian Ministry of Internal Affairs, confirmed to Xinhua news agency reporters that 80 Korean citizens are currently detained by the Cambodian Immigration General Administration.

Dussoka said South Korean officials had been in contact with the group, but “still refused to return.”

Dussoka said he was unclear whether the 80 missing South Koreans earlier in the media were citizens of the group.

Earlier, some media reported that about 80 Korean citizens were in a state of "missing or unknown personal safety" in Cambodia, using the South Korean Foreign Ministry as a source.
