South Asia exploded again, this time not India, but Afghanistan. The Pakistan Air Force launched a series of attacks within 12 hours and leveled more than a dozen targets. The firepower was so fierce that even its own media rarely made a "high-profile" appearance. The war reached the Durand Line, and the atmosphere was even more tense than during the India-Pakistan conflict.
