Cambodian police crack down on case involving Chinese citizens

According to the information released by the Police Department of the province of Sihanouk, Cambodia, the Cambodian police recently broke up a case involving the security of Chinese citizens and arrested related suspects.

On September 20th, the police in Western Province successfully rescued two Chinese citizens who jumped out of the car at Jingang Expressway. Under the leadership of the Director General of the National Police, the Western Provincial Police Department worked closely with the Odo Meanchey Provincial Police Department to successfully rescue four victims (all Chinese citizens, including one female), arrest six suspects (all Chinese citizens, including one female), and collect a large amount of relevant physical evidence.

According to the West Province police, the criminal gang has long been specifically targeting Chinese citizens to carry out illegal detention, kidnapping, extortion, trafficking in human beings and other crimes.

It is that the Phnom Penh police recently succeeded in destroying a telecommunications fraud hub in a villa in Shenzhen district, capturing 18 Chinese suspects, one of whom has been charged and detained for trial, and the other 17 will be deported according to law.

The Embassy in Cambodia urges the Cambodian side to thoroughly investigate the truth, severely punish criminals, and effectively protect the lives and property of Chinese citizens in Cambodia.
