Turkish police arrest 106 suspects in attack on large crime group

Xinhua Agency, Istanbul, October 14 (Reporter Wang Tengfei) Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on the 13th that Turkish police simultaneously launched large-scale operations in 10 provinces including Istanbul, Adana, Izmir and Antalya, arresting a total of 106 suspects, all of whom were related to a large organized criminal group.

Yillikaya said on social media that the Turkish police dispatched a total of 2000 police officers to carry out simultaneous raids on 403 target locations, focusing on cracking down on a large criminal group in Turkey and seizing multiple homemade explosive devices, multiple guns and a large number of drugs.

According to investigations, this criminal group has more than 270 members and is involved in 54 criminal cases, including intentional homicide, drug trafficking, gun threats, extortion, etc.
