[Global Network News] According to CNN and AFP, SpaceX's new generation of heavy-duty launch vehicle "Starship" was launched from Texas, USA on the 13th local time, implementing the 11th test flight.

CNN said that currently, the super-heavy rocket booster has just crashed into the water and splashed down in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico east of the SpaceX launch facility. Meanwhile, the Starship spacecraft is cruising in space and is expected to conduct several tests before splashing down into the Indian Ocean about an hour after liftoff.

CNN mentioned that SpaceX founder Elon Musk "unexpectedly appeared" on the live broadcast of the test flight that day. He said he would watch the launch outside.

According to reports, this test flight is regarded as the "graduation exam" of the second generation of Starship. SpaceX internally divides the starship iteration into multiple stages-the first generation focuses on verifying takeoff, separation and reentry, while the second generation enters a more mature technology verification stage, with the goal of being stable, controllable and reusable. The second generation of Starship uses the Raptor 2 engine with stronger thrust and higher efficiency, and comprehensively improves the fuel distribution system, structural strength and insulation tile materials, hoping to completely get rid of the early state of "exchanging explosions for data".

In the previous 10 trials, the spacecraft either exploded in the uplift phase or disintegrated by high temperatures when it returned to the atmosphere.
