Ukrainian Defense Minister Shmegar announced on his official social platform on the 13th local time that he held talks with visiting EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kallas that day, and the two sides discussed measures to strengthen security in Ukraine and Europe.

Schmeigar said the two sides discussed arms production, technical exchange and cooperation in the European Security Action Programme (SAFE).

Schmegal stressed that Ukraine should be more deeply integrated into the European collective defense system, while calling for further strengthening sanctions against Russia and said the two sides have coordinated the main financial needs of Ukraine for the next year.
