Being shut down by the host, Vance was angry

According to the U.S. “Beast Daily” on December 12, U.S. broadcaster news host and long-time critic of Trump, George Stephenopoulos, on the same day in his hosted program in a fierce dispute with U.S. Vice President Watson. Because of dissatisfaction with Watson’s remarks, Stephenopoulos interrupted Watson’s speech and then broadcasted an advertisement.

During the show, Stephanopoulos had been pressing Vance to respond to bribery allegations against U.S. Border Affairs Director Tom Homan, but Vance repeatedly dodged the issue. "(Talking about a government shutdown) is far more beneficial to the American people than you fall into the trap of the left, because the facts clearly show that Homan was not involved in any criminal activity," Vance said. Stephanopoulos retorted: "This is not some weird left-wing rabbit hole! I'm not implying anything, I just asked you if Homer accepted $50,000, as the FBI said in a tape recorded in September 2024, and you didn't answer that question." "No, George, I said..." Vance tried to refute, but Stephanopoulos turned to the camera and said,"Be right back" and switched the show to a commercial.

Vance then vented his dissatisfaction on social media X. He wrote, "Peace in the Middle East? Government shutdown? George doesn't care about this. He came here to pay attention to the so-called real story: a false scandal involving Homan".

The allegations against Homman involve an undercover operation by the FBI in September 2024.The FBI agent allegedly pretended to be a businessman and handed over a bag with $50,000 in cash to Homman, who had previously agreed that if Trump won the election, it would help them get a government contract. The White House denied that Homer was charging money, and Homer himself denied any illegal activity.
