Tripartite meeting in Azerbaijan’s capital

The Russian Federation government issued a statement on Wednesday saying:The Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran tripartite meeting was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.The head of the Russian delegation at the meeting, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Orwellchuk said that in order to enhance the competitiveness of the International South-North Transport Corridor (INSTC) western line, it is necessary to build a coordinated and unified transport infrastructure of the three countries of the Russian Federation.The strategic goal of this move is to seamless logistics connection from the Baltic Sea to the Persian Gulf, creating the best competitive conditions for the three countries producers and importers.

The news pointed out that Russia and Iran will continue to promote the "Rashte-Astara" railway construction agreement signed in 2023. This line will connect the railway networks of Russia, Afghanistan and Iran. (General reporter Hao Wei)
